Brewery Wharf's latest addition Gets the One Creative Website Treatment

Azucar (Spanish for “sugar”) is the brainchild of experienced operators in the bar and restaurant industry, including the partners of the legendary Viva Cuba (Seb McGowan and Mike Cook) and the owners of Oracle (Stephen Hawkins and Deborah De Vittoris).

Local legend and author Howard Marks will also be taking an active role in Azucar by drawing on his vast travel and writing experiences to add a creative edge to the bar. Howard, famous for a number of books including Mr Nice, has chosen Leeds as his home and lives one minute away from Azucar. He’ll use the bar as a base for when he’s writing or simply enjoying a mojito. In his own words, “You have to live life to write about it.”

One Creative were once again approached to design the Azucar website following on from the success of many other sites including Loft Leeds and Oracle we have designed for the group. The style required was something totally different to the other sites, representing the more grunge bohemia decor of the bar. The site features a news database to ensure Azucar are able to keep the site up-to-date with latest special offers and events etc. this is connected to an automatic emailer to make sure all previous customers are kept in the loop.
